Who am I..

I grew up in Chicopee, MA and am one of the oldest of seven children in my family. There are five girls and one boy. I love having a big family! I have a silver lab named Brady who just turned 2 this past November. I have two nieces and a nephew as well. Family has always been important to me. We have gone through a lot of hardships over the years that have made each of us who we are today. With so many kids, my mother became a stay at home mom while my father worked to provide for the family. When my father became ill these roles unfortunately reversed.

All my life I have been a huge sports fan. I follow all the Boston teams: Celtics, Red Sox, Bruins and the Patriots as well. Not only am I an fanatic of professional sports, I also play them. In High School, I was a three sport athlete participating on the Varsity soccer, softball and track teams. I continued to play soccer in college at the Division II level at Franklin Pierce University. It was such a memorable experience for me and I made a great group of friends.

As a senior preparing for graduation, there are so many aspects of my college career that stand out for me. I am proud of all my accomplishments and plan to better them as I close the academic door and enter the real world. I am a very determined, motivated and hard working individual. I love writing, especially about sports which is why I chose to minor in sports. My goal is to link communications with my interest in sports and get a job where I can do just that.

At school, I have done a lot to show my interest in this field. I write and edit for the Pierce Arrow which is our print newspaper as well as The Exchange, our online newspaper. I also color and do play-by-play for our athletics on campus. I have covered numerous stories about various teams too.
